TITLE: Special Education Teachers/Tutors for Extended School Year Program 

DATE OF OPENING: July 2024

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Certified or certifiable as a teacher of children with special needs.

• Teaching experience with students with language based learning disabilities.

• Knowledge of role based, multi-sensory phonetic reading programs, preferably the Wilson Reading System or Orton Gillingham.

• Experience planning and implementing special needs programs.

• Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the above qualifications.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparation and tutoring of students with language based learning disabilities, hours to be determined based on the number of students, up to 3 days per week for four weeks. 

 SALARY:

 As per current contract,  up to 6 hours per day, three days per week, four weeks.
